Students should pursue all other institutional financial resources, including student loans (Federal Loans for US citizens and Permanent Residents, Bryn Mawr Loans for students without US citizenship), before applying to receive funds. The amount given is determined by the need and subject to the availability of the funds. A student is typically eligible to receive funding once per academic year. Student assistance funds do not need to be repaid and are distributed on a case by case basis. Funds will be made available as soon as possible and are generally limited to $300.

Please note that international students on F-1 and J-1 visas are not eligible for funds for unexpected expenses, per the regulation of their visas. Also, payments made from U.S. sources constitute taxable income to a nonresident payee. The College must withhold tax from the payment at a standard rate of 30 percent. International students should contact the 金融援助 Office to discuss their specific situation.
